NFC17 102 CERTIFIED LIGHTNING PROTECTION
COSMOS Q2 ESE LIGHTNING ARRESTER

Engineered with 316L stainless steel and internal high-voltage trigger circuits, COSMOS Q2 passes rigorous impulse current tests to ensure uninterrupted ground path discharge. With 10 YEARS Product warranty .
YES. . . COSMOS Comes With a product warranty of 10 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF SALES AND NOT THE MANUFACTURING DATE .
NFC 17-102 Standard
CPRI Tested Performance
Marine-Grade 316L Steel
Verified under NFC 17-102 protocol testing, measuring precise microsecond emission advance timing to establish early upward leader attachment during storm conditions.
Tested by Central Power Research Institute under severe surge impulse conditions, proving full structural integrity and zero dielectric breakdown during direct discharges.
Constructed from marine-grade stainless steel to resist atmospheric corrosion, maintaining high-voltage conductivity across extreme temperature ranges and coastal exposures.

TARGET INSTALLATION ENVIRONMENT .
INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE SAFETY .
Industrial buildings & factories
On the rooftop, usually on a mast.
Particularly useful for large roof areas and tall industrial structures.
Hazardous Location Shielding
Industrial Refineries and Plants
Safeguards volatile processing units and metal storage tanks by intercepting high-energy atmospheric strokes before downward streamers touch vulnerable plant equipment.
Hazardous Location Shielding
Industrial Sheds And Warehouses.
Secures grid switchyards and tall communication masts against direct impulse damage, preserving continuous operational uptime for essential power and network systems and Protects solar Structure and huge solar on grid installation equipents.

ESE LIGHTNING ARRESTER INSTALLATION
Realistic views of COSMOS Q2 air terminals, heavy-duty stainless steel mounting brackets, down-conductor cables, and earth termination pits installed across high-elevation jobsites. Most important installation principle
The ESE head should not simply be placed at the highest point and assumed to protect everything. Its location and mast height should be calculated according to the applicable ESE methodology and the manufacturer's tested performance.
For example:
ESE Air Terminal
↓
Nylon/plastic adaptor
↓
FRP/GI mast
↓
Down conductor
↓
Test link / lightning counter
↓
Earth termination system
The protection radius depends on factors including terminal performance (ΔT), mast height above the surface being protected, protection level and the applicable calculation method.
One important caution: ESE and conventional IEC 62305 air-terminal design are not interchangeable design methods. Some project specifications explicitly allow ESE under NF C 17-102, while using the rolling-sphere method for conventional IEC 62305 protection

Our lightning protection specialists evaluate building geometry, elevation, and local flash density to design fully compliant NFC 17-102 lightning arrester layouts.
